Justin Lewis
26 years on, after 10 hugely successful plays, the Indian Ink company - writer-performer Jacob Rajan and director Justin Lewis - are still probably best known for one play. Krishnan's Dairy was a brilliant piece of theatrical leger-de main, where Jacob Rajan - and a few masks - managed to persuade audiences there were several people sharing the stage at any given moment. Indian Ink's eleventh production Dirty Work is about to tour the country on June, and it goes the other way. Now there really is a great big cast on stage, though they often seem as bewildered as the audience. Director Justin Lewis takes a break from rehearsals to talk to Simon Morris.
