Police have named the 2-year-old girl who died after being hit by a car in a driveway in Te Kauwhata in Waikato on Monday.
She was Tyler Te Ruru Ahurei Davis.
Police said the serious crash unit was investigating, but it appeared the girl was hit by a car reversing out of the driveway.
They have urged drivers to check multiple times before reversing and have extended their thoughts to the girl's family and friends.
