Fire investigators will be at the scene of a blaze at Parewānui, near Bulls, this morning.

It was one of three bush fires that broke out in the North Island yesterday.

The fire was mostly contained last night and crews remained on site.

Crews also stayed overnight at the scene of a fire in the Tahorakuri Forest area, north of Taupō.

Fire and Emergency say the fire is under control.

And lifeguards rescued people stranded after fire broke out near Anawhata Beach in West Auckland.

Piha Surf Lifesaving Club used five rescue vessels to extract seven people from the beach and take them to Piha.

Fire and Emergency say that fire is under control and firefighters will be back on the ground this morning.
