Woman accused of stealing mayonnaise, shampoo, chocolate from Pukekohe supermarket

A woman is due in court accused of stealing 10 tubs of mayonnaise, 13 bottles of shampoo and 66 blocks of chocolate from a South Auckland supermarket.

Police in Pukekohe were called at 2.45pm on Sunday.

Inspector Matt Hoyes said officers found three bags stashed in the bushes.

"Officers found 10 tubs of mayonnaise, 13 bottles of shampoo and 66 blocks of chocolate stuffed inside the bags," he said in a statement.

"None of the items had been paid for and she was quickly taken into custody."

A 28-year-old woman has been charged with shoplifting, and is set appear in the Pukekohe District Court on Monday.
