Thousands of energetic Aucklanders were buzzing after they finished the 8-kilometre 'Round the Bays' fun run on Sunday.
It was the fifty-third iteration of the annual fun run, attracting thousands of people to run and walk from Britomart in the central city to Saint Heliers beach, and raise money for charity.
The atmosphere at the run's afterparty event at Maddis Farm Reserve in Kohimarama was cracking with the sizzle of sausages and pumping music.
RNZ asked people how they felt after the run, before they flocked to celebrate.
Friends Annabel and Annie said: "It was amazing!".
Annabel said it was "really good, considering we're not runners."
It was her first time running in the event.
"It was actually fine, I thought it would be harder, but with all the people and that it was very motivating," she said.
"Honestly don't usually do that long of a run, so that was good," Annie said.
And the plan now they'd reached the after party - "Thinking of trying [to] scrounge some free food and snacks."
One woman said it had been fun to do the run with her children.
"Good - just a bit sore, but otherwise we're all good. But it was our first one this year, we'll be back next year... well it was a good family bonding, a friend invited us, so we'll be back next year."

Sarah said it was her third time doing the run.
"Really good - like good sense of achievement, it was hot though but we managed to get through it. It was nice."
She said the atmosphere and opportunity to do something fun with friends kept her coming back.
Mike said his run was "really good".
"Atmosphere's good. And I caught public transport here. I don't usually catch public transport."
Mike said this was his fifth Round the Bays.
"It's just fun, Sunday morning, something to do."

Natasha said she was feeling great, but "yeah pretty tired, can't wait to go home".
She's done Round the Bays "almost every year for the last five years."
What kept her coming back? "My husband," she said laughing.
One man said he was feeling tired after a well-run race.
"We've just had a beer at our company tent, and now it's hometime to watch the magic round. Up the Wahs!"
