Police in Auckland say a training exercise at the Mānawa Bay shopping centre on Tuesday evening has been completed.
Other emergency services and Auckland Airport were also involved.
Police earlier said the exercise was going ahead outside the shopping centre's operating hours.
Volunteers would be taking part, and the centre was not open to the public, they said.
The public would see police and other emergency services outside Mānawa Bay, and they said there was no cause for alarm.
