12.30 Phil Manzanera on his new collaboration with Tim Finn
Roxy Music guitarist Phil Manzanera and Tim Finn have released a collaboration album called Caught by The Heart.
The album comes 45 years after the pair met in 1976 when Split Enz supported Roxy Music on their Australian tour. Incorporating international music styles from Cuba, Spain, and more, Phil considers the album “truly world music”.
Phil joined Charlotte from his home in West Sussex, and spoke about making the album in spite of the global pandemic, and the 50th anniversary of Roxy Music.

What better way to celebrate Māori Language Week than with this beautiful performance by TE KAAHU, the new reo Māori project from alt-pop artist Theia (Waikato-Tainui, Ngāti Tiipaa).
Theia is joined by Delaney Davidson and Jol Mulholland on guitar, and Hina on vocals.
"Tautokongia ngaa kaitito Maaori me tooku reo rangatira!" says Theia, "Support Māori composers and my chiefly language!"

2.30 Alien Weaponry on their new album Tangaroa
Waipū's Alien Weaponry has just released their new album Tangaroa.
It’s the band's first album release since 2018’s Tū, which won them the 2019 Auckland Live Best Independent Debut Award.
Tangaroa (god of the sea) intends to tackle issues like climate change, growth, insecurities, and raise awareness of and support the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
Henry de Jong and Lewis de Jong join Charlotte from Waipū to discuss the new album, and how their huge American tour is going to work during covid.

3.30 Sam Wave on his new album Oasis Ballerina
Sam Wave (Sam Mehrtens) is a musician and producer from Arrowtown, New Zealand. He released his album ‘Oasis Ballerina’ last week.
Working on the album slowly over the last three years, he explains to Charlotte how excited he is to release his music into the world.
