After being nominated four times, Anna Coddington (Ngāti Tūwharetoa / Te Arawa) has won the prestigious Silver Scrolls award this year.
Charlotte Ryan was backstage catching all the action on the night, and spoke to Anna after the ceremony.

American singer and songwriter Remi Wolf is a headlining artist at Auckland’s Laneway Festival in January next year.
Originally from Palo Alto, California, Remi Wolf has come to international attention as the opening act for Lorde, Paramore, Gorillaz, and more recently, Olivia Rodrigo.
Charlotte Ryan caught up with Remi from a bathroom floor in Atlanta.

Louis’ music has earned him a Taite Music Prize nomination, Silver Scrolls nominations and Aotearoa Music Awards nominations for Best Soul Artist and Best Māori Artist.
Independently, he has accumulated over 45 million Spotify streams.
Charlotte Ryan joined Louis at his house on the hill, overlooking the sea, to hear some fresh music for the soul.

The Wellington Jazz Festival is about to kick off, and our guest picking the music over the next hour is multi-award-winning composer, singer/songwriter and festival co-director Tama Waipara.
Tama grew up in New Zealand and studied in New York City, receiving masters in music. After experiencing a life changing head injury he returned home to Aotearoa and, alongside composition, has been an advocate for the development and promotion of Māori music in many different roles over the last two decades.
After working at the Auckland Arts Festival he then went onto become Chief Executive and Artistic Director of Te Tairāwhiti Arts Festival since founding it in 2019.
Tama is now the Co director of Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of the Arts; Wellington Jazz Festival.
The Wellington Jazz Festival runs from Oct 16 to Oct 20.
